Greater Paris is an urban, social and economic national interest that unites the major strategic areas of the Ile-de-France, foremost among them the heart of Paris and the Paris region, and promotes the development economic development, solidarity and create jobs in the capital region. Local governments and citizens are involved in the development and implementation of this project.

This project is based on creating a network of public passenger transport infrastructure financing which is insured by the state. The public is also involved in the process of developing this scheme. To this end, a public debate organized by the National Commission for public discussion, in accordance with Article 3 of Law No. 2010-597 of 3 June 2010 on the Greater Paris.

This debate is launched within four months following the promulgation of the law. It addresses the need, objectives and main features of the proposed public transport network of Greater Paris.

The record for the public is determined by the public "Society of Greater Paris. It contains all the elements necessary informing the public.

This debate and the debate which proceedings are instituted on a proposed bypass by automated metro in the Ile-de-France, called "Arc Express" are coordinated.

The National Public Debate jointly launch the procedure for public debate on the overall schema of the public transport network of Greater Paris and on the "Arc Express.

To better inform the public, the CNDP integrate the records of these debates the respective technical and financial elements of both projects.
